Dear Mortifeye,

Please let me firstly add my welcome to Wikipedia; if there's anything ever you need help with/would like to ask, please feel free to get in touch — I may not be the most prolific Wikipedian, but I edit in a couple of languages and have been around long enough to know my way around.

Secondly, thank you very much for the collegial reply. You wouldn't believe how some people here talk to each other. As for the point at hand, I don't know the answer, hence my post. Maybe we'll get some more points of view.

Thirdly, best not to follow my "very bad habit" of signing my signature starting with "== " because you might get screamed at because you will break Wikipedia in some way and cause the heavens to fall ;-) We are ALL supposed to use "--" with NO SPACE after it, even though people customize their signature in all kinds of ways.

Best, == Peter NYC ( talk) 02:35, 26 March 2021 (UTC) reply

P.S. When you reply somewhere, please put a   :   at the beginning of your reply, or several, if required when others have replied already, in order to indent your reply. This makes conversations more readable.
If your reply is more than one paragraph, as in this case, please put the required number of   :   at the beginning of every paragraph. Best, == Peter NYC ( talk) 08:15, 26 March 2021 (UTC) reply
Thank you for the tips. I will be sure to take careful note of them. You've been a good help to quell my insecurities and ignorance that prevented me from getting involved in talk pages. One question though, @ Peter NYC:, do we have to put the timestamp in UTC or can we use our own local time? -- Mortifeye ( talk) 19:07, 26 March 2021 (UTC) reply
That's really easy. Go to your Preferences and select Gadgets where you can select that option. The full documentation is here. == Peter NYC ( talk) 22:15, 26 March 2021 (UTC) reply
