I've been a Wikipedian since 20 May, 2008.
I am an investment professional,
Junk Bonds a specialty. I grew up in
Wayne, PA and have lived in
Needham, MA and
Natick, MA for the past 35 years. I've been married for 32 years and have two children aged 25 and 23.
I am old enough to remember writing reports on a
typewriter (a non electronic, instantly printing computing device), using
wite-out to correct errors. I took computer at
Radnor High School in 1972 where we connected to a DEC
PDP-8 using a
teletype. I remember the first personal computer I ever saw, an
Apple II series, and the first I ever used, an
IBM Personal Computer with no hard drive and 2 5 1/4" floppy drives.
I am interested in contributing to biographies, particularly people from Boston, Massachusetts, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, New York State, and the Muskoka Lake region of Ontario. I also contribute to articles centered mostly on those areas.
I am descended from the Townsend family of Oyster Bay, Long Island and Albany NY, from Captain John Underhill, the first Captain of the Guard for Massachusetts Bay Colony, from John Howland who came over on the Mayflower, and from the McAlpin and Brandreth families who made a fortune in tobacco and patent medicine respectively. That's why you see the pattern of articles that you do!
