Have restored flags to template pending discussion. Do people prefer that they remain or go?

Thanks for not reverting altogether. There's been a big discussion over at
template:Canada, where
User:Astrotrain added the flags in a similar fashion and edit warred over them. They eventually went. See also
Wikipedia:WikiProject Countries/Templates/Navboxes, where no other templates includes such flags (except {{
United Kingdom}}, and these are very small. They were, ironically,
removed by Astrotrain back in February.)

Thanks for the helpful explanation (and for the tidier syntax). I don't mind the template with flags or without flags - I just think the question deserves airing before we settle. Nice working with you!
