Thanks for setting this up except maybe put the items in alphabetical order and also i think my " psychological manipulation" article deserves to go in as a form of abuse - it could just be referenced as "manipulation".

It is beyond me why the original template was deleted - maybe there is a chance of getting it back again subject to a new discussion. -- Penbat ( talk) 18:04, 23 October 2009 (UTC) reply

I put them in close to the order they were listed in on the page Abuse. It makes sense, because that is what people most commonly view as "abuse." As for deletion, a template with this title was previously deleted, but that is just the title, and it does not automatically mean that this is identical to that. Yes the old one was quite a lot different - it went down the right hand side of the page. It would have been nice if it were kept though. Er why not list items alphabetically in Abuse?-- Penbat ( talk) 08:55, 25 October 2009 (UTC) reply
Can we at least separate sexual abuse, discrimination and violence acts. Kasaalan ( talk) 12:38, 16 January 2010 (UTC) reply

Following the TFD

There was no consensus from the recent TFD. For the future of this template, I think it is a good idea not to discuss it with a TFD, but to talk about it right here. There may be grounds for splitting this into several smaller templates (e.g. physical abuse, psychological abuse), but not to delete. Compared with other nav templates I have seen, this appears to be very much like the others. Shaliya waya ( talk) 16:23, 26 January 2010 (UTC) reply

I have trimmed out most of the template, leaving only first line "types of abuse". This makes it less bulky, and removes the disjointed collection of everything from war rape to political corruption. It resolves most of the concerns expressed at CFD. -- BrownHairedGirl (talk) • ( contribs) 00:51, 8 February 2010 (UTC) reply

Adding child neglect

I have added child neglect (in a grouping with child sexual abuse under child abuse). Since the defacto procedure seems to be to increase the number in the documentation and add the item I have boldly done so. If there are objections to the item being on the template and prefer discussion first, feel free to undo pending decision here. Zodon ( talk) 05:38, 16 September 2011 (UTC) reply

I suppose I should also make a case for why child neglect should be here. At the moment the article is more substantial than the one on neglect (which isn't saying a lot, the latter having been sadly neglected). By grouping the items they don't take any more space on the template than formerly. It gives more complete coverage of that portion of abuse. Zodon ( talk) 05:49, 16 September 2011 (UTC) reply

i have no specfic problem with this. -- Penbat ( talk) 09:18, 16 September 2011 (UTC) reply
