This WikiProject banner template uses
Module:WikiProject banner, a meta-template for easily creating and maintaining project banners. Please report any errors or feature requests to
Module talk:WikiProject banner. Information or warnings about the template are below:
|
This template is used on approximately 35,000 pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. Consider discussing changes on the talk page before implementing them. |
Note: the shorter templates, {{WPJournals}}
or {{WikiProject Journals}}
, may be used in place of {{WikiProject Academic Journals}}
Basic syntax:
{{WikiProject Academic Journals|class= <!--Stub Start C B GA A FA List FL Redirect Disambig-->}}
Full syntax:
{{WikiProject Academic Journals
|class = <!-- Stub Start C B GA A FA / List FL / Redirect Disambig -->
|needs-infobox = <!-- Set to "yes" when no infobox, else delete -->
|listas = <!-- Set to "Title, The" when [[The Title]], else delete -->
}}
You can usually just drop the empty template on the talk page of files, templates, categories, or project (Wikipedia: prefix) pages:
{{WikiProject Academic Journals}}
The template will auto-detect the space (based on the prefix in the page name). If you want to manually specify the class, the additional non-mainspace classes are:
{{WikiProject Academic Journals|class= <!--(File Template Category Project) NA-->}}
One example of overriding the auto-detection: Category:Bimonthly journals is a category soft redirect to the actual Category:Bi-monthly journals. The later can be tagged with the parameter-less banner, but the former is technically a "class=Redirect" (rather than the automatic Category-Class).
The "NA" is optionally for Non-Article pages that would need to be manually grouped outside of the File/Template/Category/Project classes (such as a documentation page located in Template space).
|class=
blank or omit the parameter.|listas=Lockyer, Norman
so that the talk page will show up in the L's and not the N's of the various assessment and administrative categories). This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter. to that template instead of a project banner template. Putting the parameter on more than one template is not required.|needs-infobox=yes
if the article needs an
infobox. Remember that infoboxes are not suitable for all articles, and can overwhelm short articles.
|category=no
if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.Academic Journals NA‑class | ||||||||||
