There was a previous edit made by an IP that detailed the text messages between Laughton and the other person in the text conversation. It was removed, and I assumed it was because of misgendering - the IP referred to Laughton as “he.” I then added the changes back and removed the misgendering, but it was again removed. Isn’t this information that is highly relevant to Laughton, and therefore worthy of being in the article? I was told that consensus should be reached here, so maybe I’m missing something, but is there a reason why the light specifics would NOT be included? See WP:BLPCRIME. An accusation, allegation, arrest, or even being charged, is not a conviction and we have to be very careful about what we include in an article when someone is accused of committing a crime. We have no way to know if the allegations within the WMUR article are correct or not, and it's not our role to find out. We leave that to the court system.

Secondly, it's WP:UNDUE. I've tried searching for the specific quotation, and can't seem to find any reliable sources that have included it. That immediately seems like including it would be giving undue weight. Even for Laughton's arrest there's very few reliable sources other than the two we already cite (WMUR and AP News), so until there's a progression on the case and more reliable sources cover that, there doesn't seem to be much scope for extending this beyond the fact that she was arrested in June and charged in July. It's important to remember that Wikipedia is not a newspaper, and we don't include everything that is verifiable. It has to meet other relevant policies, like NPOV and BLP, and be considered of encyclopaedic value before it can be included. Sideswipe9th ( talk) 00:01, 26 July 2023 (UTC) reply
