Quality & Importance - What do you think?

I designated this article as C-class and Mid-importance for WikiProject Psychology. Since I am new at this task (rating articles), I would appreciate feedback. For example, the article seemed to satisfy most of the B-class criteria, but, because I do not possess expertise on this specific topic (psychological aspects of accents) I wasn't sure about criterion #2:

The article reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain obvious omissions or inaccuracies. It contains a large proportion of the material necessary for an A-Class article, although some sections may need expansion, and some less important topics may be missing.

I decided to err on the side of under-rating. Am I being too conservative?

Also, I stumbled across this article on ... hmmmm, where did I first see it? I think on the WikiProject Psychology page, but maybe it was WikiProject Articles for Creation. At any rate, it's the first article I reviewed from Articles for Creation and I would appreciate any feedback, particularly if I didn't do something that I should have done. I did write a comment for the article's author (I think the author did a very nice job with this new article); added Categories; and linked to the article from relevant Wikipedia articles. Did I miss anything?

One final question: Should the article be included in WikiProject Linguistics? I'm generally a big advocate for interdisciplinary cooperation and discourse, so I thought it was appropriate, but there might be a reason to not include it about which I am unaware.

Your article assessment as C-class looks about right to me. The article is a great start and the creator is to be commended. It has B-class good referencing and layout, but is fairly short. I'm not enough of an expert to know whether it is comprehensive, but I usually tend to be conservative in rating, so C would be my choice, too. Honestly, because the grading criteria are multi-factorial, the overall grade is a fairly crude measure of article quality. There is already an Accent (sociolinguistics) article, but linguistic speech generation is as much psychological as it is sociological, so I support the WP Linguistics banner here, too. Thanks Mark! That is very helpful. :o) Mark D Worthen PsyD 16:09, 1 January 2014 (UTC) reply
Thanks for the compliments. The nature of writing on accents from a psychological point of view is rather difficult as comparatively there is not that much research out there, hence the rather limited length of the article in question. I tried to make it as comprehensive as possible and don't feel that I have missed any major points (or many minor points for that matter), but time will be the true judge of that. I am very new to Wikipedia myself so can't comment too much on the assigned grade of this article, but have no complaints as to the way you have conducted the grading process; having some written feedback was very nice. Regarding the articles inclusion into the WP linguistics page, I don't see a problem with that and actually would suggest it as a good idea. Thanks again.
