What is the Wikipedia policy on names of places that have changed since the event involved? I thought the policy was to give the then-current name with the present name in parentheses. At the time of the earthquake, Almaty was called Verniy.

Kaindy landslide and Its Aftermath
No mention is made of the Kaindy landslide also forming a natural dam on the Kaindy River and forming Lake Kaindy with its sunken forest, see:
/info/en/?search=Lake_Kaindy. As a minumum there should be a quick mention and a link to the article on the lake.
