Gender-affirming surgery
Changed wording. The previous wording clearly is biased against anti-trans activists. (I’m not an anti-trans activist. However, we must maintain a neutral point of view per Wikipedia policy.)Tags: RevertedVisual editMobile editMobile web editAdvanced mobile edit

How someone thinks Britannica, one of the oldest and most reputable encyclopedias (mind you, an encyclopedia is an RS per WP:RS), is not a good enough source is beyond me. I shouldn't have to add sources, but here they are anyway... I am surprised that it is this difficult to state the very commonly known fact that Yale is a prestigious university when Harvard and Stanford have similar statements in the lede. Please see my previous edit summaries and the talk page. Thanks.Tag: Visual edit

This edit was reverted because someone claimed that Britannica was not a WP:RS. However, WP:RS clearly says "Reputable tertiary sources, such as introductory-level university textbooks, almanacs, and encyclopedias, may be cited." The consensus both on the talk page and WP:HIGHEREDREP was that statements like these can be written with reputable sources such as Britannica supporting it. Please discuss on the talk page before removing this statement.Tag: Visual edit

[dummy edit] I would also like to add that there has been an RfC regarding the addition of prestige statements in university pages, and the prestige statements regarding Yale have been added as a result of it and following similar statements in other universities' articlesTags: RevertedVisual edit

talk) I disagree that this is unencyclopedic. There has been much discussion regarding this, and other schools like Harvard has similar statements in lede. We should stay consistent.Tags: UndoReverted
